Classics of Literature and Legend
In this program, Bobby highlights the joy of reading using exciting, fun stories out of books from his own library. He shows how, through storytelling, characters jump off the pages, providing a richness of experience that is uniquely literary. These stories, including Anansi Tales and/or adventure stories of dragons, heroes & ogres, also teach principles and values.

Storytelling and reading ignite our imaginations and so draw us into active entertainment, unlike the passive entertainment of television. We tend to learn and retain information much better if it's clothed in a good story. Any story or book will expand a child's vocabulary, retention, and imagery. Indeed, stories not only entertain, but also encourage students to seek out their own stories from the library.
