Classics of Literature and Legend
This program includes a collection of stories that teach principles and values, pulled from books from Bobby's own library. It highlights the joy of reading by showing how, through storytelling, characters jump off the pages of library books. Storytelling and reading ignite our imaginations and so draw us into active entertainment, unlike the passive entertainment of television. We tend to learn and retain information much better if it's clothed in a good story. Any story or book will expand a child's vocabulary, retention and imagery. Indeed, stories not only entertain, but also encourage students to seek out their own stories from the library.
