Bio

Karen, from St. Louis, has been enthralling audiences with her historical “Peek Into the Past” and “Kid Tales From Around the World and Back in Time” storytelling programs since 1992. Her stories are for the young at heart and ancient in spirit. Her lively and lyrical style transports audiences around the world and back in time. A versatile storyteller, Karen’s vivid character portrayals from history and folklore entertain and educate audiences of all ages. She has entranced listeners at schools, libraries, museums and festivals. She was also featured at the St. Louis Storytelling Festival & Conference in 2007.

Kids as Mystery Solvers, Giant Defeaters and All Around Heroes from around the world and back in time. These 45-minute storytelling programs are appropriate for all ages.

Peek Into the Past

Peek into the Past of ordinary people who became part of an extraordinary time in American History. Peek into the Past of extraordinary people and animals who were part of a magical time in World Legends.

Stories that Connect Heart to Heart

Stories can bridge the gap and heal the distance between people with different backgrounds, experiences and abilities. Created for abilities awareness and value education programs, these 45-minute performances are appropriate for all ages.

Sweets and Stories. Together, they make any holiday celebration—whether it's for children or adults—a whole lot more fun. You bring the chocolate. I'll bring the stories. Forty-five minute programs for all ages.

Workshops:

Yarn Spinning & Story Weaving Workshop

This fun and interactive workshop teaches students, teachers, librarians and parents how to create and tell stories in a way that will have your audiences so entertained and spellbound that they might even learn a thing or two. Imaginative tips on how, when, where and why to tell stories. Small groups will create stories, while literally spinning and weaving them, and then present them to the group. Stage fright melts away in this workshop filled with lots of laughs and learning.

One Hour Workshop, designed for young authors, parents, teachers and librarians, covers all the above.

Two Hour Expanded Teacher Workshop covers all the above PLUS Story Theater Workshop.
